    Universal Wellness New Developments

    Greetings Friends!
Join me in celebrating our 15th Anniversary!  Universal Wellness, formerly Fit Bodies, was founded in March 1991.  Hard to believe I've been fitness consulting for 24 years as well.  We plan on celebrating all year! Keep your eyes open for special Anniversary offers and giveaways in the coming months.  Thank you so much for making this possible.  Without your support, we could have never come this far.  Cheers!

The new home base of Universal Wellness is officially in Florida now!  Everything happens perfectly and in the right time.  A few lessons I chose to learn along the way were:

Enjoy the journey, literally and figuratively.
Patience and knowing everything is manifesting perfectly.
Trust in the Universe (God) that I/we will always be provided for.
Making decisions based on what is best for me instead of from a sense of "should".  I know some of you are probably laughing right now since I've been teaching people to stop "shoulding" on themselves for years.

Since we don't have a long term telephone number at this time, the best way to contact me is by e-mail michelle@universalwellness.us and our new snail mail address 1435 E. Venice Ave. #144, Venice FL 34292.  Since we are very busy with our transition and have had had occasional internet, it will take me a while to catch up on over 1,000 e-mails.  So, for all of you who have sent a message (this included my suppliers of funnies), thanks so much for your patience as I do so!

I recently attended another Effortless Prosperity seminar in February.  It was a great reminder for so many things I know but sometimes forget to live.  I greatly recommend you check out www.effortlessprosperity.com to live life more easily and joyously.  If you are ready to make big shifts in you life to achieve even bigger rewards, read about Universal Wellness Telephone Coaching.  This may be the perfect time for going to "the Next Level".

Please help us reach as many people as possible as we strive to enrich and empower lives. Tell them to join our mailing list for valuable information such as this and more!

    Love & Light,
    Michelle

    Self Care Check
    Rejuvenate Your Spirits

Been feeling stressed out after watching or reading the news lately? A
"news fast" - avoiding news on the television, newspaper or the Internet for a few days or even a week - may help renew your spirits. It is a good way to gauge how you react to and process news, and how the news affects you.

    • If it seems outlandish, consider the following:
Both local and national network news have increased their emphasis on crime, even as U.S. crime rates continue to decline. This is particularly true of local news.
    • Studies show that violence, death and other negative images can provoke changes in mood and aggravate anxiety, sadness and depression.
    • Feelings of depression and sadness can lead to a negative view of your own life.

Perceiving the world as violent, unsafe and hostile can have negative
effects on your body, as well. By taking a news fast, you can develop a
more conscious relationship with the media - and promote greater mental calm within yourself. When you spend more time in harmonious mental states, your body will function better, and anxiety and over-stimulation may be minimized. Give it a try!

    Inspiration Corner
    The Roaming Stone

Mary Lou was a client of mine who considered exercise as one of her least favorite activities.  She heroically persevered in spite of this doing her best week after week.  A few years ago, she was in an auto accident.  Along with her physical therapy, I was able to assist her along the way of her recovery.  As an expression of her gratitude, Mary Lou got me this beautiful piece of granite inscribed with the word "Exercise".  Unfortunately, before she could give it to me, she was diagnosed with cancer.  Once again her indomitable spirit arose, fought and conquered the cancer.  Now Mary Lou walks marathons, raises funds to assist others in conquering their diseases and educates people on taking care of their health.

Mary Lou's accomplishments can now be an inspiration to you.  The "Exercise" stone has been traveling from person to person for years now. It is in Madison Wisconsin right now.  Individuals keep it for 2-3 weeks often adding their experience to its accompanying book.  You to can enjoy the motivation and add your powerful, positive energy to it!  Send me an e-mail info@universalwellness.us if you would like to get on the list to get a visit from The Roaming Stone.

    Professional Highlight
Michele Berson Markarian, Financial Strategy Coach & Consultant

Are you financially fit?  April is around the corner and with that comes the dreaded, April 15 when Americans need to file their taxes and tax payments.  Did you know that 48% of American's only pay the minimum payment of their credit cards each month?  That 1 in 4 of us retires on an income below poverty level.  Why is it that thinking or talking about money makes most of us uncomfortable?  Well, let's take a closer look at some of our beliefs about money.  How many of you have heard these common sayings - 'filthy rich' - 'dirt poor' - 'go wash your hands you've been touching money' or one of my personal favorites 'money doesn't make you happy'.  Hmm, if we really believe these statements it is no wonder why thinking or talking about money isn't a pleasant experience.

Ask yourself how these thoughts and beliefs are serving you today?  Do you have enough money so that you work because you want to not because you have to?  Are you able to go on your dream vacations with your family?  Are you fully living your life today or waiting to do so in the future when you have more money?   Consider the possibility that these beliefs haven't been serving you and that they aren't truths.  Instead, create some new truths for yourself that support you with your financial goals.  Let's see if this allows next year, around April 15, to bring a smile to your face instead of a frown.

    Spotlight Exercise
    Legs Up the Wall Stretch

This helps reduce tightness in the back of thigh and calf areas as well as improving circulation.

Lie on back on floor with legs extending straight up the wall. Bend knees if necessary.  You want to feel moderate tension, not pain, as you relax there from 1 to 5 minutes.  If this is difficult, it may be helpful to place a folded blanket or towel under your low back area.  If this seems easy, be sure your rear is scooted up to and touching the wall, lengthen your heels up the wall and "sink" your tailbone to the floor.  Relax and Breathe......
